The Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Maloma serves as a bridge between the youth and local governance, ensuring that the voices of the younger generation are heard and valued. Our council is dedicated to creating opportunities that empower the youth, whether through education, sports, or community programs. We believe that by nurturing leadership and fostering a sense of responsibility, we can build a stronger, more united barangay for the future.
As representatives of the youth, we aim to inspire positive change and growth within our community. We understand the challenges young people face and are committed to addressing them with innovative solutions. Through collaboration, we create projects that promote health, education, and civic engagement, all while encouraging the next generation to take an active role in shaping their future.
The 10 Centers of Youth Participation in the Philippine Youth Development Plan (PYDP) 2023-2028 align with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),
including SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions). These centers connect youth to various sectors, which are themselves linked to the global SDGs.
At the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Maloma, we are deeply committed to empowering the youth and nurturing their potential to become responsible, proactive, and compassionate leaders of tomorrow. Through our various programs and initiatives, we strive to provide meaningful opportunities for young people to grow, connect, and make a difference within our community.
From organizing sports and cultural events that promote camaraderie and healthy lifestyles, to conducting educational seminars and environmental campaigns, every project we create aims to strengthen youth engagement and social responsibility. We believe that by giving the youth a voice and a platform to act, we pave the way for progress that begins at the grassroots level.
Our mission goes beyond activities—it’s about building a generation of leaders who value integrity, service, and sustainability. We continuously listen to the needs, ideas, and aspirations of our barangay’s youth, ensuring that every effort aligns with the community’s goals and the broader vision of national development.
